The R35 GT-R is still a new car. Modifications are also in its infancy but already top tuners like Amuse and Mines have set new lap records in Tsukuba Circuit with only minor modifications to Nissan’s new supercar.

The latest firm to join the growing list of GT-R tuners is [GARAGE DEFEND], a Nissan specialists whose expertise dates back to the 80's.

Their latest development for the R35 is mainly cosmetic with blackened glossy wheels, and carbon fibre parts that set out to improve on the aerodynamics of the car.

The kit includes custom carbon-fiber canards on the front bumper that’s claimed to improve braking performance and cornering stability but comes at the cost of top speed. Garage Defend also produces a full carbon-fiber grille replacement, but the spolier you see in the photos is a Voltex GT wing, both of which help improve downforce of the car.

Engineers also installed an adjustable lowering suspension kit, dropping the car a full 30mm, and compliment this with an uprated brake package.

Garage Defend also replaced the standard Recaros with a new pair of red Bride Cugas. Cugas are Bride's newest offering. Each weighs in at just 29.5 lbs.

A Blitz standalone electronic boost controller has also been installed to provide the driver with instant accessibility to the turbo's boost. That's what I call real In Car Entertainment.

The only modifications to the powertrain include new high-low filters and a Blitz NUR-spec F-Ti muffler at the rear.
